Write a first email worth answering

For independent auto parts exporters: verify a company, introduce the relevant part of your business, and ask one useful question.

Begin a conversation

The first email opens a discussion. It does not establish an order or prove buying intent. Give the reader a clear reason you chose their company and a question they can answer briefly.

Check the company first

  1. Check the company's role: importer, distributor, retailer or repair business.
  2. Open the source for the product category or vehicle relationship you intend to mention.
  3. Record what is unknown. Public product fit does not prove current inventory, demand or a purchasing event.

An observation date is not an event publication date. If the products do not fit or evidence is missing, research further before drafting.

Keep the message focused

  1. Mention one relevant fact that you actually verified.
  2. Say who you are and describe only relevant, substantiated capabilities.
  3. Add a useful supplier observation only when you can support it.
  4. Ask one open question about the next step or the right contact.

Use a specific subject, short sentences and your real identity. Avoid generic cooperation slogans and invented claims about the buyer's problems.

An illustrative introduction

This example uses the homepage's official-source LKQ Europe review and an illustrative brake-supplier profile. It does not establish a named buyer contact, active purchasing or the user's real supply capacity. Verify your own products before adapting it.

Subject: Aftermarket braking supplier introduction

Hello LKQ Europe team,

Your public product range includes braking components. I am [your name], with [company], an aftermarket brake supplier.

Who handles supplier introductions for aftermarket braking components at LKQ Europe?

[Your name]
[Company] · [Your contact details]
  • The opening cites a relevant public product category.
  • Replace the placeholders with your real identity and verified capabilities.
  • The question asks for the supplier-introduction route without requesting an order.
  • Use the recipient's preferred language when you can have the translation checked.

Choose the channel carefully

WhatsApp requires contact-level permission and your own identity. A public phone number alone is not permission. If permission is missing, consider an appropriate public website or email route after checking contact rules.

Follow up with a new reason

Offer a relevant product detail, a sourced observation or a simpler question. Repeating the same request is not a new reason. Stop when the recipient declines or unsubscribes; respect suppression and bounced-address records.

Common mistakes

  • Sending a full catalog before understanding the company.
  • Requesting VINs, quantities or orders in the first introduction.
  • Inventing buyer needs, customer names, inventory or certifications.
  • Using a shared identity or ignoring unsubscribe requests.
  • Treating a copied draft or provider acceptance as delivery or a reply.

Respect identity and permission

Use your own mailbox and accurate sender information. Check applicable contact rules before sending; this guide does not establish legal eligibility. Keep permission and suppression records.
