How much does a website redesign cost? Published offers include USD 1,999 for six to eight pages, USD 3,400 for a refresh of up to eight pages, and USD 6,400 for a rebuild of up to fifteen pages. The suppliers and scope are linked below. These are individual public prices, not a market average or a quote for your website.
Start by deciding what needs replacing. Changing the appearance, reorganising the site and moving platforms can involve very different work. The proposal should make that difference visible before you pay.
Refresh, rebuild or move platforms?
| Type of work | What you might keep | What needs pricing |
|---|---|---|
| A focused refresh | The platform, page addresses, most content and existing functions | Agreed changes to layouts, typography, images and mobile behaviour |
| A broader rebuild | Useful text, photographs, brand assets and valuable page addresses | New structure, design and build; content and replacement functions where needed |
| A platform move | Content and data that can be reused or exported | Rebuilding on the destination, transferring agreed records, reconnecting tools and testing old links |
These categories can overlap. A rebuild may stay on the same platform; a platform move may keep the design almost unchanged. Ask the supplier to name the work, rather than relying on a package label.
If the problem is one confusing service page or a broken enquiry form, ask for a repair option too. The website's age alone is not a reason to replace everything.
Public redesign prices, with the scope attached
These prices were checked on 24 October 2026. They are advertised offers for particular projects, not equivalent packages or supplier recommendations.
| Supplier and market | Published price | Scope and limits to notice |
|---|---|---|
| Inovista, US-facing law firm services | USD 1,999, one-time | Six to eight pages, existing content moved, redirects for changed addresses and a 14-day bug-fix period. New copy, ecommerce and ongoing maintenance are excluded. |
| Crystal River Designs, Houston | USD 3,400 Refresh; USD 6,400 Rebuild | Refresh keeps the platform and covers up to eight pages. Rebuild covers up to fifteen, content transfer and redirects. Writing, hosting and domain fees are excluded. |
| Wild Web Services, UK | GBP 650 Refresh Lite; GBP 1,250 Full Redesign; GBP 1,950 with new content | The first option covers a visual refresh of up to five pages. Higher options add structural work, then rewritten content. The supplier confirms the price after reviewing the site. |
Keep the currencies separate. Confirm taxes, conditions, exclusions and the current written total. Advertised terms do not establish what every client ultimately paid.
What makes the price change?
Content takes work. Moving approved text and photographs is different from interviewing your team, rewriting services and finding images. Agree who supplies each item and whether translation includes checking the finished pages.
Count different layouts as well as pages. Twelve similar product records can reuse a layout. A homepage, booking page, searchable catalogue and case study need different decisions. Separate catalogue design from preparing and importing product data.
Existing functions need attention. List forms, booking tools, payments, email notifications and connections that must survive the change. A homepage screenshot cannot reveal all that work. Identify access problems and missing exports before fixing the quote.
Launch work still counts. Handling old addresses, checking mobile use, testing enquiries and handing over access take time. A lower design fee may leave these tasks for someone else. Revision limits and an unusually tight deadline also belong in the agreement.
Three briefs that should produce different quotes
These are planning examples, not completed customer projects or priced packages.
A five-page service site: keep the platform, copy and addresses; update the presentation and test the existing form. Ask for a defined refresh, with writing priced separately.
An eight-page site with an outdated offer: reorganise the services, rewrite the pages and replace the enquiry flow. Budget for content and structure work as well as design.
A catalogue moving platforms: agree twelve business pages across two languages, plus 200 product records. Request a sample import and a list of included fields, images, searches and enquiry functions. Inventory synchronisation, checkout and cleaning incomplete records need explicit decisions.
Send the same brief to each supplier. Otherwise, you may simply be comparing different projects.
Compare quotes line by line
| Item | What the written quote should say |
|---|---|
| Pages and content | Pages, languages, records and layouts included; who writes, translates and supplies images |
| Existing site | What stays, what is rebuilt and which records or functions cannot move |
| Contact and transactions | Forms, bookings, payments and notifications included, and how they will be tested |
| Old links and launch | Who maps changed addresses, tests redirects, makes the switch and checks the live result |
| Revisions and changes | Included review rounds and how extra requests are priced before work begins |
| Ownership and support | Accounts and files handed over, recurring fees, and the exact support period and scope |
“SEO included” is too vague on its own. Ask which pages and checks are covered. Keeping useful addresses and testing changed links reduces avoidable mistakes; it does not guarantee unchanged or improved rankings and enquiries.
Budget beyond the launch invoice
Use this calculation with the actual quote:
First-year cost = redesign fee + separately charged content or migration + recurring services + agreed extras and applicable taxes.
Avoid counting an included item twice. Allow for any period when both old and new platforms must run. Record when the old service can end, and who checks that email, records and enquiries no longer depend on it.
A short period for correcting delivery defects is different from ongoing editing or maintenance. The website maintenance cost guide separates those later bills. If you are leaving a builder, the Wix and GoDaddy migration guide explains what to check before cancelling anything.
How much should your business spend?
Choose the smallest scope that fixes the agreed problem and leaves you with a site you can use and maintain. Keep worthwhile content and working functions. Spend more where the brief demonstrates extra work.
For a Parts Trade project, send your current site and required changes through our website redesign service. We review what can be kept before agreeing the scope. Our published new-website packages explain their own inclusions, but they are not fixed redesign prices: moving an existing website needs its own assessment.
